Top 5 Winter DIY Recipes
These are my favorite Top 5 Winter DIY Recipes using Young Living Essential Oils. Enjoy! xoxo
1) Homemade Body Butter
I found this recipe on Young Living’s Blog and it is super awesome! So be kind to your hard-working skin and make a big tub of this for the winter. This homemade body butter recipe will leave your skin moisturized and soft, thanks to rich cocoa butter and coconut oil. I love it’s whipped consistency that goes on smoothly and feels light to the touch.

1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
15 drops of your favorite topical/aromatic essential oil (we love Cedarwood, Lavender, and Frankincense essential oils)
Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4–5 minutes.
Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes to cool and just set but not harden.
Stir in essential oils.
Using an electric hand mixer, whip until firm peaks form, about 10 minutes.
Gently transfer to a seal-able jar or container. Store at room temperature to avoid melting or solidifying.
Massage into dry skin!
2) Brown Sugar Moisturizing Hand and Body Scrub
This winter smooth hand and body scrub smells amazing, gently exfoliates, moisturizes and whenever I make it people go crazy over it! It’s that good. This is a must have recipe for the winter months even my husband uses it for his dry hands.
1/2 C white sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1 tsp. V-6 Oil
1/3 C olive oil
10 drops Lavender Young Living Essential Oil or other topical essential oil of your choice.
In a large metal or glass bowl mix all the ingredients.
Then pour contents into an 8 oz. glass mason jar.
3) Winter Diffuser Recipes or Natural Air Freshener Spray
My Favorite Essential Oil Combinations:
- Cinnamon Bark and Orange Essential Oils smells like you just baked something delicious.
- Lavender, Cedarwood and Rosemary Essential Oils are the perfect winter blend.
- StressAway and Peppermint is so relaxing and makes your home smell like vanilla candy canes.
- Christmas Spirit Essential Oil is a blend from Young Living that is great all by itself!
You can use any of these combinations with a Young Living diffuser or use a glass spray bottle and add the oils with water for a delicious air freshener spray! For an 8 oz glass spray bottle I use a total of 20 drops of Essential Oils because I like a strong scent. You can use more or less depending on your preference. xoxo
